Who we are …

Community-Police Consultative Councils were formed in Queensland following recommendations of the Fitzgerald Report.

The Toowong-Indooroopilly Community-Police Consultative Council has been operating since 1995. It represents a wide range of general community interests including police, local residents, service and welfare organisations, churches, business groups and school communities.

The role of the Council is to focus on the needs of the community and to encourage the participants and the community to work in close co-operation with the local police division to meet those needs.

The Council has general meetings on the first Wednesday of every second month commencing in February each year. Everyone is welcome to attend. We would welcome and encourage individual and group representation to provide a wider view of community interests and concerns and develop means to address them.
