LOCAL GRAFITTI (by Thomas Ritchie)
Indooroopilly residents woke to a shock on Sunday morning as they
discovered vandals had struck using a bright orange substance. Vehicles and
council property were attacked. Taking place on Saturday night, the attack
was conducted in a seemingly random fashion, although curiously the vehicles
targetted were of a 4WD make. Property on both Clarence Road and Hunter
Street was affected. The proximity of the attack to Indooroopilly train
station implies that the vandals were not of local origin.
The substance appeared water-soluble and residents were able to wash it off
their vehicles. Police were unable to comment about the identity of the
vandals, stating that any such comment may compromise an ongoing
investigation.
