Invitation to a guided walk 12 July 2003

While some of us have been working towards a solution to "the fence", others have been working towards a longer term strategy to develop a means to work with Council on the management of the golf course and its margins, Sandy Creek which flows through the golf course and Robertson Park and to address related matters such as flooding ... a topical issue!

In short, there are several "precincts" each of which have a number of interesting features and opportunities.

They include ...
To begin to familiarise people with these areas, it was decided to offer a series of guided walks so that we can get the feel of the various precincts and discuss some of the opportunities and issues.

It has been suggested that we have the first walk on 12 July ...

I propose start AT 3pm allowing a couple of hours to do the circuit at strolling pace but allowing a few minutes at each major location to talk about the issues.

I suggest gathering at the golf course entry in Handel Street off Meiers Road down Handel Street from the DPI main entry then we will walk the route from 1-5 as above ending up back at Handel Street.

Feel free to join en route ... BUT one of the benefits will be understanding other areas and explaining yours to others.

It will be important to start on time!

Just the inevitable reminder that anybody coming for the walk does so at their own risk as we will be walking in public space on public property ... and don't forget 'that' golf ball ...!
