Public Meeting to protest St Lucia Golf course fence
A public meeting to protest about the proposed fence is proposed for next Saturday, 4 October, at 4.00pm.
Its purpose is to enable concerned local residents to share information and views, to discuss responses to the flyer, and to agree on a series of actions which we can take in concert over the coming weeks.
Publicity:
(a) Could everyone who is in Brisbane over the coming week please publicise the meeting and ask people to come along - tell your neighbours what is at stake, photocopy and hand out the Council's "flyer" and the statement we sent to the Council, talk to people you meet on and around the golf course.
(b) Perhaps those who organised the original NO FENCE posters on the fence posts could post up some notices around the place about the NO FENCE meeting.
(c) Others could take on school holiday projects making protest banners.
(d) All residents could put a NO FENCE poster on their front fence (as for the 'NO NSP' campaign).
Venue: The quiet corner of the golf course opposite Garema Street - bring a chair or two.
