JOHNSON AND SARAH O'HARE PROMOTE PINK RIBBON DAY

Michael Johnson, Federal Member for Ryan, today joined with the Patron of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Sarah O'Hare, to promote Pink Ribbon day by hosting a morning tea with the Minister for Health & Ageing, the Hon Tony Abbott MP in Parliament House today.

The morning tea was held to promote the National Breast Cancer Foundation's Pink Ribbon Day to be held on Monday, 27th October, 2003.

"It was a great opportunity for Members and Senators to learn more about the Foundation so they can go back to their electorates and really promote a greater awareness of breast cancer," Mr Johnson said.

"Even if you are not touched directly by breast cancer, the chances are you will know someone- whether it is your mother, sister, daughter, family friend or work colleague, who has been," Mr Johnson said.
