CHRIS NIXON — As an automotive journalist and publicist, driving is naturally one of Chris Nixon's greatest passions and so he claims to have close knowledge of the streets in the Indooroopilly district. On these he has driven over the past 17 years in literally hundreds of the latest model cars. Yet still some neighbours remain puzzled about the occupation of the man who has a different new car in his driveway every week! ~ Chris's 38-year career in journalism has taken many paths, but rarely been far from a life-long love of cars. Formerly motoring editor of The Courier-Mail, he contributes now to a diverse range of publications and is an occasional specialist commentator on Brisbane radio. He also specialises in motorsport publicity, having been media manager for the Gold Coast Indy, the official "works" Volvo racing team and currently a range of national championships and major events staged by PROCAR Australia. ~ Chris is a founding member of the Queensland Motoring Writers Guild and former Queensland Motoring Writer of the Year.
