Australia's most expensive car - in Taringa?
...
|
THERE appears to be a motorist in our midst who is very, very wealthy.
Centenary Mercedes-Benz at Taringa is rumored to have taken a six-figure deposit - the first in Australia - for the new Maybach super-luxury saloon being handbuilt by Mercedes-Benz.
The mystery buyer will have to wait more than a year for his new car, time enough perhaps to save for the expected price of up to $950,000.
Australia expects to receive 10 Maybachs for sale next year and they will be the most expensive model ever sold here.

They will of course be state-of-the-art in every respect, packed not only with luxury and gadgets, but also the latest automotive technology including a 540 horsepower V12 engine.
Perhaps the most valuable accessory will be a kind of automotive butler, a so-called Personal Liason Manager, available to serve the owner's every whim at the mere push of a button on the dash.
